I. OVERVIEW:

EyeQ Tech applies Deep Learning method in Tracking and Face Recognition algorithm in products, thereby allowing the system to become smarter, faster and more accurate through data accumulation and training. (similar to Google’s DeepMind). Furthermore, EyeQ Tech has carried out an accuracy test on a dataset of 10,000 faces. The accuracy rate achieved is 95% of faces detected correctly.

III. BUSINESS OPERATION:

EyeQ Tech was originally a group of trainees from APCS Advanced Program of Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Sciences, with an internship under the guidance of Mr. Le Mai Tung (Doctorate – PhD in Science) Computer of New South Wales University, Australia), Director of ShareCar.vn.

The main motivation and also the original goal of the team when researching that product was, addressing the overcrowding of major hospitals across the country. By applying face recognition technology with very high accuracy and reliability, EyeQ Tech wishes to shorten and proceed to eliminate information disclosure processes and procedures (full name, personal information, medical history …) very complicated when the patient goes to hospital. The vision that the group wants to bring is that, when this technology and product is widely applied, every patient coming to the hospital will only need to see a specialist directly and absolutely no information is required. Each patient will be identified through their face, from which the hospital retrieves their exact electronic medical record (EMR) without having to go through wasting procedures. hospital, help the medical examination and treatment of 1 patient faster by 30-40%. The team focused on the method of human face recognition. After 6 months of market research, research and experimentation, the team successfully launched a face recognition system that has been tested on a data set of 10,000 human faces, giving 95% accuracy.

Currently, EyeQ Tech has the first customer is a very large coffee chain in Ho Chi Minh City. EyeQ Tech helps them to measure the number of customers visiting the shop in 1 day, the total number of old/new customers, and the retention rate (the return rate of customers). The system is in the process of running an alpha test and accept the results.

EyeQ Tech also had its first meeting with a business that dominates the indoor advertising market (OOH Advertising) and agreed on preliminary terms. In the next 3-6 months, large buildings in Ho Chi Minh City will be installed with EyeQ Tech’s system, helping to measure the effectiveness of the advertising of this business.

In addition, With increasing pressure on the health sector to cope with the epidemic, as well as the essential days still operating in the face of danger, startup EyeQ teach has also applied technology to create Cooling products for professions at the frontline against epidemics.

IV. ACHIEVEMENT:

This startup won the 2017 Startup Wheel contest with the prize worth 200 million VND. Similar to the 2016 Startup Wheel, The competition in 2017 has two first prizes.
